I just can't ignore this. Four days ago, a pipe leaked near a small town east of where I live. The oil leaked into a small watery area, and went down the river and it's heading west, possibly toward Lake Michigan. It's terrible.
It smells like oil where I live, and I live maybe four or five miles away from the river. So yeah. Houses close to the spill have been evacuated and some other homes are also being passed out bottled water because the normal water that is covered in oil can't be boiled in order to kill bacteria.
The river not too far from my house is so beautiful, now there's an ominous sheen.
