I'm sort of experimenting with some different coloring techniques.  This semi-sloppy shading look is meant to give a simpler feel to the comic (since that's how it started out). Also, while I love the Metroid series, I don't find Samus particularly fun to draw or color.  That's the main reason why she's taken so long to show up.  She still doesn't look quite right.  But you know what? You can just deal with it.
