Nintendo, I love you.

Enough, apparently, to take a brief break from my break (er, what?) and put up comic 251 a little early. I actually wanted to do this strip LAST year, but they never showed Kirby! As is, it’s more of just a general celebration of a new Kirby game than something with a showstopping punchline, but BitF is a celebration of all things Nintendo…and this is certainly cause for celebration! I just hope enough of you are familiar with the history of the “reaction guys” photos from IGN to get what this is referencing.

Back to the subject at hand…Nintendo has finally given the little guy another shot at a home console adventure, and I couldn’t ask for a more terrific-looking game! Literally the only thing I don’t really like about Kirby’s Epic Yarn is the title–everything else seems to be brimming with adorable creativity, and the style follows in the grand tradition of the Yoshi and Paper Mario games amped up to an insane degree.

And how ’bout the rest of that show? It was a steady pummeling of quality surprise after quality surprise, to the point where it was hard to take it all in at once. Zelda: Skyward Sword, Mario Sports Mix, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Metroid: Other M, GoldenEye, Disney Epic Mickey, the 3DS, Kid Icarus: Uprising. The company sure knows how to appeal to the rabid fan within me, and you can certainly expect comics about most of these once we know more about ’em.

For BitF, this was just a brief hiatus so I could get my excitement out there! Comic 251 has come early, so 252 will continue on schedule: Friday, July 2nd. See you then!

P.S. I expect the Mash-Up guys will have some fun with this strip.
